Organisers define the basic design of their badges in advance. Based on this layout – including logo and event branding – the badges are pre‑printed and personalised on site with individual attendee data. Pre‑printed badges are loaded into Self‑Badging Terminals or Self‑Badging Gates with integrated badge printers. Alternatively, standalone badge printers can be used and controlled via the Mobile Supervisor. As soon as the system scans the ticket, personal attendee data is printed on demand. This results in personalised badges within seconds – no waiting, no smudging. Modern thermal printing technology ensures maximum flexibility with minimal effort.

Pre‑Printing: Branded and Pre‑Produced

The first step of badge production takes place at a professional printing house before the event. All recurring design elements are pre‑printed, including the event name, logo, and background graphics in corporate colours. These elements are aligned with the corporate design of the event or organiser. Once produced, the pre‑printed badges are delivered securely to the venue and loaded into the admission devices, ready for use on event day.

On‑Site Badge Printing

Badge personalisation begins on site after the ticket scan. Speedy processes the stored attendee data and transfers it directly to the integrated badge printer. Using thermal printing technology, individual attendee information is added to the pre printed badge templates on demand. This ensures that each badge is personalised at the moment of entry, saving resources, preventing misprints, and supporting a smooth admission process.

First name and surname
Company name
QUICODE with barcode number
Attendee status (e.g. trade visitor, exhibitor, media, speaker)
Ticket type (day pass or season pass)

Additional information can be added as required. With a customised layout, all personalised content fits precisely into the pre printed badge design.

Die eingesetzte Thermo-Druck-Technologie überzeugt durch hohe Druckgeschwindigkeit, leisen Betrieb und wartungsarme Technik. Das Thermodirektverfahren arbeitet mit punktueller Hitzeeinwirkung – ganz ohne Tinte, Toner oder Farbbänder. Der Vorteil: weniger Verbrauchsmaterialien, geringere Kosten und ein nachhaltiger Betrieb. Diese Technologie ist besonders stabil, schnell und optimiert für den Eventeinsatz.

Double Sided Printing

Unsere Badges gibts im Butterfly-Format. Dies ermöglicht Druck auf Vorder- und Rückseite. Werden auf beiden Seiten die gleichen Informationen gedruckt, so sind sie selbst beim Verdrehen des Badges sichtbar. Der Vorteil unterschiedlich bedruckter Seiten liegt auf der Hand: mehr Platz für mehr Inhalt. So kann neben den persönlichen Daten auf der Vorderseite bspw. ein Hallenplan oder ein persönlicher Timetable auf der Rückseite gedruckt werden.

Badges are produced in the butterfly format, allowing printing on both the front and the reverse. Printing identical information on both sides ensures readability even if the badge twists while being worn.
Alternatively, different content can be printed on each side to make better use of the available space. While the front displays personal attendee data, the reverse can show a hall plan or a personal timetable.
