The iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the world’s most prestigious accolades for outstanding design achievements. Presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH – one of the oldest independent design institutions globally – it has been honouring excellence for over 70 years. In 2025, ADITUS received the award for its innovative, sustainable lanyard. The jury was particularly impressed by its resource-efficient design, which reduces material consumption and simplifies recycling. This recognition reinforces ADITUS’ role as a pioneer in sustainable product development for the events industry, placing it among the best of nearly 11,000 submissions from 66 countries.

The Sustainable Lanyard – Thoughtful Design with a Single Material

ADITUS has reimagined lanyards: Featuring a minimalist design made from a single material (rPET), the lanyard is fully recyclable and won over the international panel of 131 independent design experts. The design eliminates plastic or metal hooks – instead, the band is threaded directly through the badge and secured with a specially designed notch. This reduces material usage and minimises waste. Custom designs also encourage attendees to reuse their lanyards, fostering awareness and promoting sustainable behaviour.

More details about ADITUS’ award-winning can be found on the official iF DESIGN website.
